Speech
Speech is an elective course designed to provide the student with speaking and listening skills that allow one to function more effectively in modern society. The student will learn about the vocal mechanism and how to manipulate it in an effective manner. The student will be given the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in the demonstration of a variety of speaking forms. Building self-confidence will be an integral part of the course.
Throughout this course many forms of speeches will be covered including informational, informative with visual aids, multi-step demonstration, persuasive, and persuasive. Units to be covered during this course will include, but are not limited to, the following:
