Oral Interpretation
Oral Interpretation is a course designed to provide the student with interpretive skills in evaluation of literary material for presentations before an audience. The materials used are from published works.
Throughout this course, many types of oral interpretation will be covered including poetry, prose, choral reading, pantomime, storytelling, one-act plays, reader’s theatre, dramatic and humorous interpretation, and improvisation. Units to be covered during this course will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Theater
Analyze character, plot, setting, point of view, theme, and tone; Pantomime; Storytelling; One-act play; Reader’s theater; Improvisation
